I am putting a LED spot light at the trolling motor. I am going to put a switch at the console. Should I run a dedicated wire with inline fuse back to the battery or get power and ground from the leads under the console without a fuse since it is a closed system? Thanks
Since its an LED the amp draw is probably little and you should be able to put a switch off a lead theft is open under the console behind the courtesy light.
might look at remote control GoLight. It fits in place of navigation lights, 400,000 candle power and has red and green nav lights below the spotlight and remote in water proof baggie. A little pricey but very cool and can move from boat to boat
