Is it possible to buy a Air Pressure Regulator Diaphragm for a 1998 Optimax without replacing the Fuel Rail? There is a guy selling them for $350 out of FL, but that sounds pretty steep. Everyone is saying you need to buy a fuel rail, but they arent made anymore for that year and youd need to buy used. Hard to find… Thoughts?

Most anything in Florida would have salt water affiliation.

According to merc you had to replace whole fuel rail. My old boat had a 99 opti and I bought a used fuel rail. If you are talking about a guy making aftermarke t diaphragms it should work. You might want to check with Sherm or EuropeanAM on BassboatCentral mercury forums. They know Merc outboards very well and you can trust what they say.

I use the guy in Florida for fuel rail diaphragms. The rubber material Pelican Services uses is better then the oem. Very professional people with quick turn time. Saves me a lot of $$$ This gas now just seems to break down rubber over time. Thanks Pelican.
