I need to get that adhesive off the bottom of the box. Ive tried scrapping it off with limited success. Any ideas what might remove that adhesive safely? Thanks in advance.

GoopGone or GooBgone or whatever its called. Let it soak in then scrape it off w/ a razor blade, be careful not to scratch the finish.13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods

You can get plastic razor blades at some auto parts stores and they wont mar your finish. I use them also for removing decals and regisration stickers.

Ive used a heat gun before to remove tough urethane adhesive. Of course, you definitely dont want to use one around batteries or fuel, but it will work in the right condition. Apply heat until the slump of urethane starts to just soften. It will scrap right off. Just have to be careful.

WD-40 will soften it and then you can scrap it off.

If its really thick, heat up a metal putty knife (I used a propane torch) and carefully scrape to get the majority of it off and then use one of the solvents mentioned above.
