Another jackplate question from a new cat owner

We were not installing CMCs in 03 so this one is not factory installed. We were installing Slidemaster and Detwiler hydr jackplates with 6 bolt pattern in 03. This could void your lifetime warranty with a 4 bolt jackplate. The fulcrum extends above the lower bolts and decreases the force radius. You probably have a couple of holes plugged if you had a plate, and it may not be a plated model, thus the addition. We doubt it will directly effect the overall warranty, though if there were a major transom issue it would. We would not overly concern ourselves with changing it on this model and year of boat ourselves. Cost vs. risk vs. gain vs. function and we would leave it.
