I have a single console PIV and I am wanting to add a glove box that will mount under the console. I dont want a lid, just a simple opening to throw keys, cell phone, etc… in there. I saw a pic of a console on the internet once (havent found it again though), and it had a small mounted carpeted bin under the console. I have looked everywhere, but no luck. Does anyone have an idea that would work? Thanks, Okie

Not sure what you saw, but BCB has a small box that goes under console that they put a radio into. Am sure that it has no back on it, but you may be able to close it off, or just make you one. The place to call on radio mount would be BCB service and parts and they could give you details. Good luck and maybe someone else will jump on with a good idea. pant 2 Bob

In the pre-modular console days, the drivers console (on some if not all models) had a carpeted tray which was there for keys, sun-glasses, etc. Pant 2s suggestion is a good one. As an alternative, the carpeted step-box has a nice storage compartment on top, which would hold the items you want to store. It is an easy swap if you have the folding seat there currently… Good Luck, Gary Hollander

The Stereo mount has no full back in it, though it could have one. E-Mail [email protected] and ask them to check on that. The Production area would have to buld that one. Gary is right on the Pre Modular days, we miss that tray under the console. As a matter of fact, many folks dont even realize that they are under there. They hold a ton of stuff in those console trays, and the goods under there often get misplaced and forgotten about. BCB

On my old pantera2 that little tray under the console was a Great place to store many things. I wish they were still in the new boats. But now they would show from outside the drivers seat. But the good thing is we are still in the best boat out there. Amazing how we miss those little things. Good luck. pant 2 Bob

I was looking for Merc parts at a Skeeter dealer. The Skeeter glove box is an awesome design.
