Anybody have a HDS with side scan?

Where did you mount the transducer for the side scan?

They have them in stock at BCB, though we dont know if they have mounted one. The one on the Skiff Cat from the Dealer Meeting might have gotten a shot taken of it, we will look and see if we have it.

I obtained a piece of 1/4″ thick aluminum plate and mounted it between the jackplate sides using the two bottom jackplate bolts. I then drilled and tapped the aluminum plate and mounted the transducer on that, exactly in the center. There is enough room that there is ~2″ of clearance between the transducer and the forward edge of the lower unit when the motor is fully down! Best of all – no holes in the transom or in the jackplate! Do be sure to reseal and torque the bolts! I dont have a picture but guess I could take one if need be. C.

Hiding the apparatus in the plate area to prevent damage to the mount is a good idea.

This is where I mounted the HB transducer, I would think you can do the same with lowrance.

C.Yes take a picture of that please, Id like to see that. Sounds like you did a great job! I also like the way tae73 installed his HB, great job! tae73, the screw/bolt that is holding your transducer onto the jackplate. Does that screw go through the transom?FISH ON!

Make sure it parallels the hull for operation.
