Anybody watch Wicked Tuna?

I love that show.

Sometimes I just want to slap that tuna.com dude !! — He has little mans syndrome in the worst way . — GOT to catch more than the other guys !! — The producers should watch the weather in each segment though . — Last night , supposedly within sight of one another , one boat is in overcast skies with 3 foot swells and white caps , and the other was in sunny skies and nearly flat water . — FUN to watch them catch the fish , but leave all the ding danged drama out of it , IMHO .

I enjoy watching it sometimes, its entertaining. Ive fished for tuna with a friend off Cape Cod though we didnt go off shore as far as they did. We also got skunked though they were breaking all around us but always 1/4 to 1/3 mile away. We fished the surface with spreader rigs. All I got to say is, you think we bass fisherman spend money on equipment? Tuna fishing for amateurs is a millionaires hobby. A used reel is 3k, new one 5 to 6 or more. Spreader rig is $25 to 50. And the boat with at least two outboards, often more, is off the charts. Takes a few guys to get two rigs out so they need a driver. Guess who got picked. Try driving a 30 footer in 6 waves at idle speed in a straight line with nothing to aim at (with a beer in your hand of course). Not easy! Finally found a shrimp boat to aim at and then did OK. We had fun though we didnt catch anything. Had several whales around us. It was fun to watch them from the birds nest tower. Hope to get to do it again sometime.
