Anyone fish Lake ouachita?

Probably a top water on those humps, spinner bait in the 25 bay area and a square bill up the river. They always like a Redfin there.

Go get u a 5xd and 6xd green gizzard crank main lake points up southfork and the river. Arig will work as well. Light weights, keitechs. Go all the way back in either river and work your way out of each arm.C.O.D. Jr. III

If youre looking to stay on the south end, Crystal Springs area is good, behind the boat docks and the creek towards the main lake too. The coves on the left and right coming out of the shoot is also good…this is where Wheeler fished in the FLW, the last cove on the right leaving Crystal. Blaylock fished around Pollard creek, he usually does OK on Ouachita in that area. We checked with one of the best sticks there and he said right now its all small fish. He had a 5 pounder this week and the rest were small

Tourney results from today…11.70 – 1st11.50 – 2nd10.35 – 3rd10.30 – 4th Big fish was 3.97 I think. We had 10.30, 2.90 big fish, caught probably 40-50, 20-25 were keepers. They were just all the same size almost. Culled probably 8-10 times…Worm on shakey head, green pumpkin or black grape. Topwater – Zara Spook in clear and whiteCarolina rig – Smaller Brushhog in green pumpkinLook for fish on graph in 8-15 then fish them, theyll be schooled up together. The larger the group the easier to catch. Appreciate the help fellas. Had a pretty decent trip for never having been before. Alot of small fish, prob caught about 60 over 3 days just fishing mornings and evenings. Stayed on a houseboat out in the lake. Fish were hitting a yellow magic in the mornings and a dt 10 mostly. Did catch afew on a junebug u-vibe speed worm. They seemed to be hanging out in 12-17ft of water. Beautiful lake yall have there cant wait to go back. Only bad part of the trip is i ran over a shallow area in the lake and trolled up on a rock, so boats got to go to the shop not real bad just some chipped gel in one spot and some scratches. But hey it happens, still a fun trip.

Thats a rocky lake for sure, and depths can change in an instance on that lake. Theres also plenty of standing timber around to get into as well thats still pretty solid. Glad you caught a few, this lake is a tough one for sure. Gives the best pros a hard time when they have to visit. They dont show up and fish it for fun very often. Glad you had a good trip. It is a pretty reservoir and nice area.
