Anyone tried a Bravo on the new Caracal?

In driving the one I did for awhile that seemed the right final prop to me with extra pvs holesPromax was too much metal to go fastFury didnt have enough lift if you ran the boat with the belly tank loaded, two dudes, livewells full, all boxes full, and rear tanks nearly full.C.O.D. Jr. III

Never ran one. Buddy with caracal died. Ran the fury and the promax at length tho.First and foremost boat seemed to have a steep slope performance based on load. So light a fury 25 was best in a boat with no poles and gas in rear tanks only. But if you truly loaded the boat and all tanks and wells, the fury just didnt have a lotOf lift to manage wakes and boat traffic interruption of lift. So light with one guy sure- itll go 75. Realistic load for doug(270) and me(180) it would go near 71.8 71.9 with long run.Promax would run 69 to near 71 all day and get there fast regardless of load but had to be a 25 and wouldnt turn 5700.Last edited by clownshoes on May 10th, 2015, 7:31 pm, edited 1 time in total.C.O.D. Running a 25 fury @ 74 w/ 2 guys, 2/3 tank, 10 blades…tourney loaded…what size pitch would be a good starting point for the bravo xs? 25.5? or 26 or 27???Thanks!

Id youre getting 74 with the load you list and 2 guys- why do you wanna spend more money? Youre there man. Thats great with a 225.C.O.D. Jr. III

Mostly because it takes forever to get there, hole shot is so-so with all that load, plus most of the lakes I fish around northern IN are pretty small, I feel that hole shot would benefit me greater and also plan on fishing St Clair soon and more often and a four blade is a must in my opinion for the Great Lakes. Im not complaining about the speed or anything, just wanted to know if anyone else has had some time with that new wheel before I drop some change on one… Thx Guys!

I run a 24 Fury on my P4 most of the year (have to put a 25 on in real cool (ie, 30-50 degree weather) conditions to avoid rev limiter), and I got a 25.5 Bravo XS. RPMs seem very similar to the 24 Fury. So a 26-26.5 would be my best guess off that one sample size. Hole shot has been better, and mid range pickup and boat lift is tremendously better. I raised my plate 1/2 inch as some advise I received on the Fury vs. Bravo, but I might lower it back 1/4.
