I would have no problem moving to “Gods country” the job itself sounds perfect like a dream come true.
That job would be ideal for me…but the opening has come several years late. I actually think I meet all the qualifications.

Yes, timing is everything. Maybe if you hire an older guy I could apply the next time around. Still have a couple of years before I can make a move. I was a service manager for 16 years and business owner for the last 20. Been in the office equipment industry for 36 years, very familiar with dos to windows 7. Maintained a web site with structured web for years. Managed people in sales and service along with inventory, ordering, purchasing, shipping, receiving, marketing plans etc. Also was a dealer pro staff member (different boat brand) and worked boat shows etc. It would be a dream job. Only problem now is as a business owner I only work half days (6 to 6 ). 40 Hours a week would be part time. I really enjoyed working the boat shows, especially at the Super Dome. I remember the first one, I got on the floor at 9 or so and remember asking another guy if he was ready to catch a quick lunch. He informed me it was after 5 in the afternoon. I would work boat shows for free. Good luck with the search, Im sure you will find the right person. By the way…can you get crawfish in Mountain Home.
We are now ending our acceptance of applications for the position(s) at Bass Cat and Yar-Craft Boats. We now will begin the process of viewing those applications received and processing these, sorting and categorizing applicants. We are hiring for one to three positions, all depending on how we determine to fill the areas. We are very fluid on these positions depending on capabilities of those joining our staff. 1. We have a position as a warehouse manager which will control receiving and placement of inventory in four locations on site. 2. There is a Purchasing Manager position which would oversee those warehouse areas. 3. We are seeking an on line person to oversee the web site, parts sales site and to either run that independent, or as a joint effort with an aid for purchasing. 4. As mentioned above a person for controlling and overseeing the entire purchasing, parts sales, warehouses, parts on line and the sales and warranty departments. Sounds like a mouthful, though its not really. 5. We are also going to consider a totally out of office staff person for the handling of the parts and clothing web sites of Bass Cat and Yar-Craft. This is an out of office position if determined to take this direction. We are establishing an in house processing team among those presently employed here. They will review applications and determine their best candidates, then the Pierces will review those as well as any others they feel may stand out and may have been overlooked in the process. The goal is not to replace anyone here, as the tribal knowledge we lost can never be replaced. Though we do need to bring the level of accomplishments up and address needs many do not see within our company. Presently we have appx. 40 applicants with varying degrees of potential to fill the positions desired. The process begins and we thank all of those who have applied for the position(s). Thank you to everyone for the time that you took to apply.Rick Pierce Previous Post Body: Bass Cat Boats and Yar-Craft have a mid level management position opening. We spoke to approximately 1/4th of the applicants who were sifted into a final group, in determining the options and abilities. There are some very talented resumes which were provided and we do appreciate each one who made the effort. Gosh some resumes were very capable, though unaffordable. Given a more vigorous budget for the position we had some great options. The position(s) has been filled and we will be informing everyone and thanking them for their efforts on providing resumes for the opening(s). The resumes will be kept on file for six (6) months in the event that anything develops. New to the Bass Cat staff is Anthony Gower who moved back to Mountain Home from Russellville, AR. Anthony is a graduate of Arkansas Tech and has a fair amount of boat knowledge. The learning curve will be steep though he looks to beep for the challenge. Now going on two weeks into his position he seems to be settling in well. The online parts staff was filled by a BCB owner and spouse firm, they presently choose to remain anonymous and we respect that. They began October 1st revising the parts web site, cleaning up inventory, moving to seek new inventory and setting up the Yar-Craft Parts site. Things are really moving at a fast pace in parts. Things are moving forwards here! We hope the progress suits those of you who have been such a part of the BCB heritage and continuance. We do appreciate each of those who provided a resume. Sincerely, Rick Pierce
