Auto Bilge float

On my 92, and I think on most, it was in front of the rear pedestal pole. This is from another post from last year. You might do a search and find more info. I always thought the float was included in pump but apparently that is not the case in some installations.A float switch is installed forward of the bilge pump that turns it on and off in the auto mode. It is far enough forward that a significant amount of water must be in the bilge to raise the float switch enough to turn it on. You can access the switch by hand and raise & lower it to see if it is working. You will hear the pump turn on when the switch is raised. There is a pump that has the switch built in but I believe your wiring would require modification to accomodate it.

If its a BCB then it is the Auto FLoat mentioned.

Thats how mine pumps out too, two streams of water on manual or auto because of the two bilge pumps. Ive got a 92 pantera II, the float valve is mounted directly in front of the rear seat pole in the bottom of the bilge, might be a little hard to see on an older boat because of all the dirt and grime that can build up in that area. Mine needs alot of water in there for the auto to turn on.
