2006 PIV……turn on auto bilge and the pump stays on with the “new sensor” sitting level….would like to troubleshoot, is there a schematic I can download?Tks
I checked mine the other day. In mine theres a ball that rolls around on the inside to activate the circuit I believe. I would lift the switch To the pump and make sure it wasnt stuck in a position to make it run all the time? Then Id just unscrew the float portion and replace if I couldnt get that to get it fixed.C.O.D. Jr. III
thanks, but the float is brand new….no worky when installed, pump wont shut off….I checked the float with an ohmmeter, working as it should, i.e circuit opens and shorts when float is up and down…
panterabam wrote:where is the relay for it located? The relay is an integral part of the touch pad. I doubt there is anything you can do to repair it but try unplugging your touch pad and then after a few minutes plug it back in. Sometimes this resets things and it just might work for you. Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!
The float does not use any power and should only have 5 volts in the wiring due to the dash operating on 5 volts. There is no 12 volts feeding through the switch you are calling a sensor. Connecting or disconnecting the two wires should kill the auto function and double check that the relay failed.
