Auxillary Temp Gauge

Anybody install an auxillary temperature gauge on a 2009 250 ETEC. The temp wire in the harness coming from the emm is hardwired to a plug and is incorporated in with the other alarms. I was wanting to monitor the engine temp in the cooler months. The alarm only goes off if the engine overheats, it doesnt let me know if the engine is up to temp.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago. You will need a new gauge, a tan wire and the sending unit that goes in the engine. Not sure which gauge package you have so I wont give you a part number for that. But I beleive the sending unit PN# is 174675. I used to have the system check where the temp gauge went. Purple wire will connect to the I terminal, Black wire to the G terminal, tan wire to the S terminal and the blue wire to the L terminal. Gauge is in the lower left of the pic. Sorry not very good picture. It maybe took 15 minutes to do.
