We made it back to MS about midnight last night after about an 8 1/2 hr drive. I just want to let everyone at BCB know that for my first of hopefully many OIs, i could have never imagined having a better time. I know everyone talked it up here on the forum, but even with that, i still did not know how much fun it was going to be. I met and made some really good friends. Our trip there was interesting. We did not really have a physical address to put in the GPS, so we just put Mountain Home as the city. Well for anyone who does not know, there is a Mountain Home Community in White County. That is where we ended up at 3 Tuesday afternoon. We made it in around 5:30 to Sunrise Point, and i must say that Doug (the owner) made our stay nice. After getting a three day license, we headed to the lake Wednesday morning and caught around 100 fish with just a few being 15 inches. We caught a bunch that were 14 and 14 1/2 inches which i thought was very good seeing how this was our first trip. Thursday was ok fishing but with no keepers, and Friday we caught one keeper and i lost a very good one. We did not weigh in the one fish because we did not think we would win anything with just that one. We probably caught a total of 200 fish in 3 days. I did learn a lot about the lake. The water was one thing that was very different from Ms lakes. Our lakes here have little to no visibility. Norfork has crystal clear water making the fishing quite different. Anyway, thanks again to all the great people of Mountain Home for making a memory. We are already planning on going again.
