Topic: Back up lights went out

Ive got the old tractor style back up lights on my 2011 trailer. Last time out neither one of them would light up. They worked just fine when putting boat back in the garage the time before this trip. I visually inspected the wires and also checked connection at the truck. All other lights are working just fine. Is there a specific fuse for theses that may have gone bad? Thanks for any help.

I have the same issue on a 2010 Pantera IV. Did you ever find out anything?

It’s usually the lights just aging out. That was before quality LED Lights and things have progressed today.

Its best to check power at the reverse light. As BCB stated, its probably just the light assembly has went bad.

You might check your tow vehicles “trailer back up lights” fuse.

I replaced mine with a nice LED flood light pod that I found on Amazon, it was waterproof rated and has been operating perfectly since install. The old style lights worked, but they weren’t very bright, the LEDs are way more usable. Took all of 15 minutes to swap out. And if you don’t have the LED tail/brake lights, I would highly recommend getting the set from Bass Cat. That was the most simple install I have ever experienced, it’ll take you longer to open the package than it does to install the light.
