bad chine 06 pantera classic

hi guys i just bought an 06 classic with an 06 200 optimax 4 blade 26p trophy plus. my problem is this boat more than chines, it chines and the bow goes left and right severly if i give the trim more than a couple bumps up, the more i trim the worse. it wobbles. this is not my first boat, but it is my first bass cat, anyhelp would be greatly apprectiated

Your probably over trimming and should lower it down on trim. Tap it up slow and not trim to the sky. You dont need but half the trim on a Pantera Classic.

I went from a Pan 2 to a classic , and it loses speed if you overtrim . The Pan 2 would take all the trim you could give it , but the Classic is a bit lighter I beleive , and gets a bit squirelly because of it . — Watch your speed as you trim up and find that ” Happy spot ” where it just wants to walk a little bit but maintains speed , put the juice to it and enjoy the rush . Lots of fun to drive once you get dialed into it . Ive seen 77.4 on the GPS , and I think theres a bit more there if I tweak a little , but I dont think Im ready just yet .

Wow, 77 is cooking. Ive got no where near that. The classic does like to run without much trim, trim up in little bumps at a time once at wot.

My 06 classic would not do real good with trophy 26. Went to A 26 Fury and got awesome numbers

Thanks guys after planing Im only bumping the trim up a couple of times, on the trim gauge it is one dash up. If thats all the trim you can give it why did they even put a trim gauge in the boat

Many variables involved here . — Boat load is a big consideration , and if I get in there with you , youll have a boatload for sure . — What I found with mine was to load it the way youre going to run it , and tweak from there . — 4 blade seems to lift the entire boat , where the 3 blade seems to carry the nose a little higher . — 3 blade is faster , but 4 blade seems to carry the load better for me . — Ive dialed it in to run 72-74 with 2 guys and a half tank of gas with a tournament load of gear . — Youll have to drive it if youre running it wide open , or run at about 80% throttle and just cruise along — As these guys on here have said numerous times , seat time is what you need more than anything else . — Ive been playing with mine for a year now , and it can still put the fear into you once in a while . — Have fun , be safe , and enjoy the ride . —

Bass Cat, when you say half trim do you mean when my smart craft gauge reads 5? I normaly will run mine around 7 and run 70 to 71 with a 25 trophy plus.

went out fishing this evening gave it a lil trim was alot camer this time. now the only problem i have is my speedodmeter quit working any ideas.
