Bass Cat Caracal Comeback?

Is there ever a chance BCB would bring this boat back? 172″ with a raised FTD deck would be sweet. Would fly with a 150 and do well with a 115 or 90. Too close to the Sabre to consider doing it? I saw one on the For Sale page here. What a neat little rig. Seems it would have some appeal to the guys looking for a tin rig in this size range. No one builds a quality 17 glass boat anymore. The idea of a new Caracal is intriguing! Im certain if BCB thought there would be a viable market for something, they would build it. Ive never been a businessman per se, so I have no experience and little knowledge of such things. (My career was in education.) But Ive talked to Rick via email and in person about boats and boat issues. I am amazed and impressed with the research and thought that goes into the design and development of a new product. We have leaders at BCB that know exactly what theyre doing. A good example is the new Eyra. I thought, after looking at the prototype at the Classic that the Eyra was ready to be built and sold. But no…BCB has more tweaking and testing to do to be certain that it is up to BCB standards!

Just buy a Sabre FTD and be done with it. By time they did all the new molds and research Id bet it would cost the same as a Sabre FTD with a 150 ProXS or ETEC HO, if not a 175 powered boat. I assure you the Sabre FTD will handle a big guy and man does it surprise a person or two on the water. Its amazing how fast that 68 MPH Sabre FTD DC is on tournament day compared to all the boat speeds I see posted on the net LOL.

My boat usually runs low to mid 60s, but for some reason on tournament days it seems to run 70 with the rest of the 70 mph boats. I guess my gps is broken. But usually I just set back and run 45 to 50. The older I get the less in a hurry I am for anything.

They already have the hull jut need a new top cap. Your right about the 150 powered Sabre FTD. I am talking about a 17 boat powered by a 115HP in the 18-20K range. Not a 30K Sabre FTD.
