So, I’d like to preface before I start, that really this is the beginning to holding myself accountable. Here is a little background. Last year I took a trip to San Diego with my wife, as a part of the trip we thought it would be fun to take a party boat on a deep sea fishing excursion. Prior to this trip, I have had very limited fishing experience, however I had a blast and didn’t even catch a thing. Thus my love affair started to blossom with fishing at 29 years old. I have some friends and co-workers who own bass boats and bass fish frequently. One friend has a Cougar. I reached out to them an expressed my interest in learning to bass fish, they both were very helpful and have thought me a ton thus far and take me out frequently. I’m sure as many of you know prior to owning a boat, your limited to go when your buddies go. Fast forward a year and a half later, I absolutely love to fish, and I want a boat so bad that my wife is tired of hearing about it. I made a commitment to my wife that I would wait 2 years before I purchased a boat, I probably talk about it daily, and I am hands down committed to having a Cat as my first boat. Hell, my background on my iPhone is a 2013 Sabre. The other day, my wife called me and basically threw me a challenge. A challenge for both of us really. 2 Kids later, we’ve boat stacked on some poundage. Basically the deal was, if I lost 75lbs I could renege on my commitment and purchase the boat early, and if she lost 30 lbs., she could have something she has been wanting. Thus the Bass Cat Challenge is getting ready to start. My goal is to lose 75 lbs. over the next 6 months. That’s 12.5 lbs. a month. Very doable I think given the right motivation. I’m looking to purchase a Sabre, or a Margay, due to my storage constraints. I’d like to update you all on my progress. I’m excited and ready to get started!
Rock and roll brother and good luck…….you have a very good motivation to lose the weight and the health benefits will keep you on the water longer. Living healthy is a life style not a short term goal!Elwood…..Bass Cat Proud
Fantastic motivation!!! It is VERY possible. I lost 40lbs in just over 2 months. I started out walking 30 minutes a day and cutting out all my beloved “Cokes” and cutting my meal portions down. I couldnt give up the things I loved so I just cut back. I then increased my walking to an hour a day and lifting weights also. By the middle of the 2nd month, I was walking 7 miles (it took just over 2 hours), lifting weights, and doing an abdominal workout video. There are lots of ways to reach your goal and what worked for me may not work for anybody else. Im just saying that your goal is not out of reach. Good luck and it will be interesting to see your progress.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console

GOOD LUCK it may be wrong but I was sitting here eating a piece of pie reading this and yes I also need to get motivated to lose weight I told the wife I was going to put down the smokes when I bought my boat opps still need to do that swamprat 26 great job Im just upset you lost all that weight and no one would take your pic THATS JUST WRONG haha
Hows this for motivation, 50 pounds in the seat is 1 mph or more.
I have dropped 26.5lbs this spring. My goal is endless! One cup of coffee per day then water only. No diet drinks no tea. Feel more alert in a week. Walking 20-30 minutes a day or climbing stairwells at work when too hot at lunch. Lighter meals with an occasional meal out. You can do it, my challenge is reminding myself to say “no” to a lot of things that I used to crave. Im doing it for myself and my family, but I do plan to reward myself with some Bass Cat merchandise!96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
