Bass Cat Friends:I transferred my employment to Amarillo, Texas in December. Yes, I know that Amarillo, Texas is not really known as the bass fishing capital of the world, but what is a guy to do. Anyway, the closest Bass Cat dealers that I know of are in Decatur, Texas and another near Oklahoma City, both about 5 hours from Amarillo. Do any of you guys have information or experiences with the two mentioned dealers. I may have to trade my current boat, a 2012 Ranger Z-521, to get back into a Bass Cat. Any help or assistance will be greatly appreciated.Corky
Corky, Decatur is closing as of 12/31 and moving closer to the original home of Bowie Marine. He has not established a location yet. S & D is a fine dealership which is owned by Scott and his Father. Mr. Dennis works it during the daytime and Scott is an afternoon and weekend person. They have an excellent mechanic with the best reputation in the OKC area. Rockwall Marine is in the Dallas area (Rockwall) and otherwise you will be driving further. You made quite a change to Amarillo! Rattlesnakes and cactus out that far west, close enough to Ivie though we believe. BCB
Dear Bass Cat:Yes, Amarillo is quite a change for me, but they really made me a deal that I could not refuse. I will greatly miss Temple, but the bass fishing community seems to be fairly close-knit in Amarillo and we just have to travel a bit further for fishing. The club I am now fishing with is fishing Amistad in February, Foss (an Oklahoma lake) in April, Lake Samford, Lake Ute in New Mexico, and Lake Conchas in New Mexico to complete the year. I really hope to be back in a Bass Cat soon if and when my current boat sells. I miss you guys more than you know. Corky
Corky, Im just down the road from you in Hereford. If I can help with anything give me a holler. I sure cant get a dealership closer LOL, but if you may have a question or two, maybe I can help. Be sure to top your truck tank off before you head to the lake. Its going to take that much to get there LOL. ( really aint that funny)
Hey Lonewolf; We will have to hook up and go fishing one day.Corky
Hope to see at the Owners Event at Sam Rayburn in April~buddyFYI Jan 19 Fayette
How in the world are you, GHARE!!!! I sure do miss you and the guys. I am trying to get back to the BassCat family here, another thing you have beaten me at and outsmarted me with. I dont think I will be able to make the Jan 19 tournament at Fayette, but I am looking forward to the Basscat Owners tournament. We can fish it out of my hopefully new Puma FTD or out of your Pantera! Either way, we will both be winners because we will both be in a BassCat!I have enjoyed your friendship over the past five years, and I look forward to our continuing friendship for many more years. I will see you during the next trip to Temple, hopefully within the next several weeks. Corky
Corky, it is a long way to fish out here. we mix it up between Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas and Mizzou. Hopefully, the rain coming this week will start filling a few lakes in Texas. Looks like your club travels and fishes a long way like do in KS. Surprised your club does not fish Ivie or Alan Henry. Good luck in your Cat search, I recently dealt with tommy Yetts @ Rockwall Marine and it was a great experience. Like you my closest BCB dealer is 7-8 hours away, but I will not own anything but a cat. Ksaggie
Hey Lone Wolfe how are you? Havent heard from you in a while. Corky if you hook up with this guy he will show you the area.Tommy Yetts Rockwall Marine
Hey Tommy. Its been awhile bud. I hope things are awesome out your way. Its flat, wind blown and DRY out here. ( I dont like living out here ) Corky, when you get ready for that new Puma FTD, go see Tommy at Rockwall Marine. Its a long way but it will be worth it.
