Press Release:
RE: J.D. Power and Associates: “Highest Customer Satisfaction” – “Bass Boats 2006”
This morning, February 16, 2006 in Miami FL, at approximately 10:15 AM, Bass Cat Boats was again presented the prestigious J.D. Power and Associates Award, for “Highest Customer Satisfaction”, “Bass Boats 2006”.
The award comes on the heels of the 2005 award. And is a consecutive award following the 2005 Award for Highest In Customer Satisfaction among Bass Boats for 2005.
Attending the presentation for Bass Cat were Ron, Jan and Rick Pierce. Bass Cat Dealers were tuned into the presentation via a Conference Call and were able to listen to the presentation.
Ron and Rick both commented “what an Honor” it is to be recognized. “It really Humbles us, to be here among this distinguished group”, said Rick of the award. Adding further, “The real winners are all of our consumers through J.D. Powers and Associates”.
Credits were given to many individuals and business entities for the receipt of this award. Ron credited “the work force in Mountain Home, Arkansas” for their ability to “focus on quality, and build a premium product in an ever changing market”. Further saying, “Without the Owners and our Bass Cat Family, this award could not be achieved”.
Rick commented on “the direction of the many business partners and affiliates, from Vendors to Dealers, and the One Time Campaign”, as being a major factor in earning this accomplishment.
In 2005 Bass Cat initiated a One Time Campaign. Intended on delivering products correctly One Time, and handling Customer Service needs One Time in One Place! Going out of their way to handle customer service needs in an expedious manner, and directly asking their dealerships to participate and assist aggressively.
“Obviously we had a great amount of support, in all areas, to accomplish this”, “It really strikes home as something we don’t want to ever take for granted, as there is no going up from here”. Ron said when speaking of the accomplishment.
Following the presentation the Pierces will remain in Miami to participate alongside Mercury Marine in a celebration that evening, of the J.D. Power and Associates accomplishments bestowed upon both companies.

Ron, Jan, Rick & Dee,Congratulations on another excellent achievement. I am proud and honored to be a “family member” of this outstanding enterprise. The emphasis on Customer Satisfaction is evident throughout your entire staff and is obvious in their daily actions.
Keep up the excellence!

Congrats bassCat!
Congratulations Bass Cat Boats.
I want to thank BassCat for not only putting out a fine product, but then also backing it up with unheard of, unparalleled, unequaled, customer support. It is a “grass roots” type effort that has rapidly created a growing demand for a small company to stand up to the big corporations and say “we can make it better”.Congradulations to the entire family.

A VERY well deserved award, Congratulations to the entire staff @ BCB, and to the entire BassCat “Family”, The Pierces, the BCB owners, and the entire network of dealers, through who’s efforts have given new meaning to customer service and customer satisfaction ! The entire team effort, focused on quality, pride of ownership, etc,,,,enhanced also by the Pro staff and their individual efforts, all have made Bass Cat #1 in a field of strong competitors. Also kudo’s to Mercury for their award, and their continued commitment to a strong family business which has exemplified their leadership role in the bass boat market ! Again, We all knew who was #1, It just took some time for the rest of the market to figure it out ! Congratulations. D.
NOW WE NEED SOME JD POWER CLOTHING TO SHOW OFF!!!!!
Congratulations to everyone involved with Bass Cat for a well deserved recognition again. You guys may say it’s the customers that voted you into this position, but ya’ll sure deserve the award. Personally I never dealt with another boat company so I have nothing to compare to, but I just don’t see how anyone can be better than ya’ll. Keep up the outstanding work, and thanks again for being the company you are.
Ronnie
Way to go BassCat! I have not yet had my new BassCat Sabre out on the water yet, but the JD Powers award you received last year got me thinking about the Bass Cat boat line. I am not sure how “big” you want to get from a sales standpoint, but I think it gets increasingly difficult to maintain your quality and customer service as you continue to get bigger. I just hope that you remain the way you are from a quality and customer service standpoint. Quality starts at the top and when the top people are family and own the business, the quality will flow down. Larger companies have stockholders and lose the personal touch and fail to take “ownership” of quality and customer service. I have had two Nitro bass boats and I liked their boats but I was not happy with their customer service. Keep up the great work and again Congratulations on this very prestigious award.
