We are totally canceling the 2011 Owners Invitational. There will be no event in 2011. In 2012 we will reschedule to celebrate a 25th event, in the 26th year. That event will again be on Lake Norfork out of Mountain Home, Arkansas. The goal is to expand the 2012 event to more involvement. We are going to try and bump up the level of entertainment to a show next year, as it was a few years ago. We will try to bring in a name entertainer, or a fledgling artist destined to some stardom, again as we have had in the past. We are going to involve more youth commitment and enhance that section for more family involvement, also including the Dry Run Creek trout fishing along with that. We also hope to bring a new twist to other facets of the Wild Card payouts and maybe distribute a larger prize package. Hopefully to bring more into the event in celebration of the 25th event. There will be no major event in the fall, though perhaps is a fundraiser for a benefit to be determined, or a similar smaller affair. We will see you all here next spring in Mountain Home. You and your families wont want to miss this one! BCB Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on May 25th, 2011, 4:09 am, edited 6 times in total.
Any Idea what the dates will be??Sorry, I couldnt resist
Tracy Bird loves to bass fish; maybe hell pony up at a greatly reduced rate for several days of fishing out of a cat. He puts on a heck of a show.
Well…I sure hope I can make it to this one. Ive had intentions of attending the last 4, but unfortunately something has always made that impossible. I plan to try it, yet again.
sweet… thx bcb… going deer hunting in october…. see you next year.
I have every intention to being there. They are a blast and I highly recommend to new boat owners. Although, this is a tournament to me its more an event and the 400-500 BassCats on one body of water is a sight to see.
Great to hear. After this year I will be sure to once again plan my vacation around it. NOT!!
I have had the privelege of fishing several basscat Invitationals over the last ten or twelve years. I fished with family and friends and probably by myself. When my son was younger he fished one with me. I remember that it rained and we stopped along the way and picked up ponchos. On one ocassion we docked the boat at henderson because the water was high(I think it was the same trip). I remember I told my son to keep the boat away from the pavement. It was still dark and he had some trouble but we managed. At the end of the day I let him get the truck and I stayed with the boat, he drove it for quite a ways before he realized the emergency brake was on. We didnt catch alot of fish but we found a duck, basically by accident. After the event was over, the fine folks at basscat were nice enough to send me one of the ducks as a keep-sake. I still have it. My son is living in another town and we dontt get to fish much anymore. I guess its like the song “cats and the cradle and the silver spoon” or I think thats what its called. Sometimes we still talk about these great fishing trips. I thank God for allowing me to fish the basscat and I thank God that we have fine folks that live in our neck of the woods and work hard to put on the greatest bass tourn. I have ever had the privelege to fish! Yes! Its a beautiful site to see all those basscat boats with their running lights on in the morning, smell the fresh air, and make memories of a life time!
Now that is a great story and what the intentions of the event are!
See if you can get Colt Ford.golfen
