The Sabre is an awesome and efficient hull – but it’s weight critical. Load the front compartments down and it’ll go from a sports car to a slug. I carry rods, life jackets, and rain gear with only the tackle I’ll probably need that day in the front. Day box, Jig box, Seasonal cranks, small terminal, and about 15 bags of plastics are in front. All the other tackle goes in the box behind my passenger. Box behind me stays empty for my passenger’s tackle. Lures & plastics that are out of season stay in the garage. Keep the load balanced and the hull rocks. Load a BPS in front and you’ll always be frustrated. It’s not the hull for stuffing full and seeing how many Planos you can haul no matter how organized they look dock racing. I’ve run my Sabre very happily since ‘08.
