If you are planning on attending the Texas Bass Cat Owners event, which lake would you prefer to fish November 14th. (Your vote has been cast.)Total votes: 59 Conroe 26(44%) Cedar Creek 33(56%)This will be a Bass Cat Owners event and the date selected by the group has been November 14th we believe. The details are on the TFF (Texas Fishing Forum) and we will leave the rest to them. We are not associated other than as assisting in these gatherings coming together. GAF, SEBCOG and this event are all independent of Bass Cat and while we would love to be involved, we also are limited in our ability to travel to all locations. The reason an east texas lake was not chosen, is that it would interfer with another gathering in louisiana. We apologize to those who live out there, but we can not step on their toes with our first gathering How can it be stepping on toes, if it is more than a month apart? Not to rock the boat, but, I still vote Rayburn, even its not a choice.Last edited by brewcat on October 5th, 2009, 4:58 pm, edited 2 times in total.
Brewcat–appreciate your concerns, but believe me —-it will be hard pressed to hurt the feelings of these guys–and even harder to step on their toes(maybe you can hurt em if you take their food and beverage away at nite).
No problems with yall and us @ GAF,,,,,, Good luck guys ! I hope it is a huge success, and if there is anything i can do let me know, but going against opening weekend of deer season rules me out, ive been told i cannot miss that again after last years debacle at our place. I am fishing no matter where we go, but I think we should consider Rayburn or Toledo Bend to allow the Louisiana boys to fish with us. I doubt we would be stepping on their toes no matter where we fish, as long as we invite them to fish with us. I plan to fish both next year. I would be fishing the GAF this year, but it coincided both with the Fishing For Freedom tournament put on by Cliff Brown at Texas Boat World and with an out of town trip to South Carolina that I must attend. Anyway, just my opinion. I am thrilled that we are going to do this tournament. Corky
I voted for Cedar Creek but if Rayburn was an option, I would change. Good times no matter what.
maybe next year yall can get a list of lakes together that are close to several dealers and we can vote from there, or you can just decide on the lake, i will go to it no matter where it is
Guys who want rayburn or TB: While I would love to have it at a lake of that quality and for the louisiana guys to attend, this is about the Texas BCB guys. A lot of states and areas already have a gathering to attend, we do not. The two lakes selected, might not be perfect, but they are a more viable option for the state as a whole. Also, one of the biggest complaints I hear it market saturation with tournaments. Id hate to make someone decide between us and another gathering if it came down to it.
I for one will attend either location but having said that I think in the event of a very minor margin on either side it should come down to delar/vendor participation and which location will have the most. After all, I think the intent is to start a tradition and why not start with good participation both from the boat attendee perspective as well as the dealer/vendor participation and support. After all support is one of the BEST assets of BCB and its dealer/vendor network. Just my personal thoughts.
how about something for us Tennessee BCB owners?
