This is really interesting. I cant wait to hear the back story on this one. I am very interested in the third name John Copeland. Kind of a dark horse and a very interesting choice. Anyone from Georgia out there? I believe he serves on the board of Coca Cola, Equifax, and Conoco Phillips. Where does it go from here? Any speculation?

I think there are many reasons why NOT being owned by ESPN is a good thing. This group has a lot of experience in fishing and media and should do well now that BASS will be first and not an afterthought.

What was I drinking Sam?Glad JM productions kept- didnt think Jerry had the cash…Assuming Mr. McKinnis and Ranger have the expected long standing N Arkansas relationship it should open the door for Ranger to come storming in now for BASS….What say you RP?C.O.D. Jr. III

Ive had the pleasure of meeting Mr. McKinnis and he is one class act IMO. ESPN made some obvious errors in their handling of BASS. I wish the new owners well in re-establishing BASS to what it really can be.

Ward, could it be that the bug boat be shut out and they rotate the “sponsored by” between Ranger and the other recently moved brands to Flippin? I figure RP knows where allegiances lie- heck it could be that Jerry M and Forrest cant stand each other!Im still shocked that Mr. Morris didnt buy it!But maybe Jerry and Johnny are buddies?All I know is that there are a lot of folks from Springfield to Mountain Home with a dog in this hunt!C.O.D.
