Hello,I have decided to look for a used cat, Im considering an 06-08 Puma or Cougar. Can anyone tell me if these boats from this era are all fiber glass construction or is there wood in the boat anywhere?Thanks in advance!
Sometime in 2000 and later everything went to an “All Fiberglass Hull” with Lifetime Structural Warranty that is able to be prorated forever if registered consecutively, through ownerships. That does not include stress fractures or gelcoat. We only know one company comparable and other companies use a composite foam transom and some flooring. Bass Cat hulls only have fiberglass affiliated products in their construction.
You can easily tell this. Just step down from the front deck to the main floor. Feels EXACTLY like stepping down from my trailer step to my concrete driveway. Saying “no flex” really doesnt do it justice. Dont think I have ever seen anything as solid as these hulls.
