I fish a Wednesday night team club in Central Oklahoma with about 18 Boats (36 members). In 2007, after tons of research and many phone calls I bought a new Puma from Waymack Marine in Arkansas. Nobody else in the club owned a Basscat Boat at that time.Since then I have helped 2 members find late model used Basscats, (one in Arkansas another in Texas) another member found a used one in Oklahoma and bought it, and yet another member bought a 07 Puma in Texas. One member just took delivery on his second new cat in the past 3 years and my son just bought a new 2011 Eyra from Bowden Marine in Texas. Needless to say the quality, ride and looks of the Basscat has caught on here. The club is near 50% BCB now. No one has been out here selling them, I have gave people rides in mine as well as others have. Its just the quality and performance that has sold everyone here. Everyone here is proud to own these boats. I thought BCB would be proud to know what is happening in our small club in regards to boat selection.Keep up the good work BCB!
They are starting to get noticed up north in Minnesota more now as well. No dealers in the area but I keep seeing a new one here and there. I have helped locate a few used ones as well. I fished an 80 boat tourney last weekend on Minnetonka and saw 5 of them.
We dont see many in Southern Calif either, last year at the Wounded Warrior tourney at DV we had three. This year with this forum and the BBC one we managed to get 7. My partner and I are trying to get a BCB owners tourney going on the Calif Delta at Russos Marena and it isprogressing along well. They responce to this has been suprisinghttp://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/WestCoastBassCatOwnersInvitationalI gotta say where ever I go as I fish ABA people gotta crawl all over my 2011 PII, but sometimes its a little hard for them just looking at the rear of my boat as I passem. I will never own another brand. Now I just got to convince my boss I need a Puma FTD (fat chance)!Steve “Gunz” Molina
We have a number of Cats up here in Western Montana, 2011 Eyra, 09 Cougar, 09 PIV, 07 Cougar, 03 Jag, 00 Cougar, 00 Pantera, 99 Pantera that I know of off the top of my head.
Quality.Strong dealer network.Total performance bass boats.Unparraleled Customer Service.Family owned and operated.Customer loyalty. All this adds to BCBs success and growth, yet still a company capable of personalized service.
Speaking of basscats Im sitting here reading this post watching Duck Dynasty – those guys are doing an episode on fishing and they are fishing from a Cougar.. I fish in OK also and have the only Cat in in our club of about 30 boats but I have started seeing quite a few more of them around. Jason Ferbrache – Edmond, OK 1995 Basscat Eyra
