Can buyers get Garmin electronics through BassCat when ordering a boat? Ive had several people ask me this. Heck, Im interested to know too. Garmin is coming out with the new line of EchoMap units with displays up to 9″, MSRP at $1199 including Side/Down Vu imaging transducer. Price is set at $699 dollar for 7″ too. Also, 17,000 lakes as well as 5700 HD Lakes burned into these units. To keep cost down they left out some bells and whistles like NMEA2000 Networking. However NMEA0183 is available that allows for waypoint sharing between units.
Correction: $699 model is 2d and DownVU only. However you can purchase Down/Side Vu imaging for $999https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/cOnTheW … 84-p1.html
Yea, Garmin has caught my attention lately so I would like to know also.
I am sure they will install whatever you like. Why not just buy what you want and ship it to them for the build? So what are you two ordering?

Sorry, they have not contracted Garmin electronics in 2015. They do have RayMarine and have not stocked them yet.
For those living in Alabama or who often fish Alabama Reservoirs and have interest with Garmin electronics….LakeVu Ultra HD MaxDef freshwater charts (SD card) offers compelling features for freshwater fisherman. Last checked there are 40 lakes that support MaxDef features. Fortunately for Alabama fisherman eleven reservoirs in Alabama are supported. Side Note: I think I just read somewhere MaxDef lakes have increased support to 70 lakes nation wide. In most of Garmins latest units there are 17,000 lakes with 5700 HD Lakes nation wide burned into their larger size graphs.Being a long time Navionics users and using latest Navionics Platinum its great mapping but not at level to features listed below. I have Garmins LakeVu Ultra MaxDef map and am quite impress. I have created some seasonal hot spots on my Alabama lakes using my Mac and Garmins Homeport App. That software from Garmin is free and works on PC too. LakeVu Ultra MaxDef Features that stand out to me:1. Dynamic lake level adjustment with real time contour and land mark adjustments when lake level changes.2. Auto Guidance…. Draws a navigational path from waypoint to waypoint away from shallow water hazards and land marks. No more navigating lines going over islands or having to manually map out multiple point around land marks to navigate waypoint to waypoint. 3. Shallow water safety shading4. Depth Range shading targets contour depth range by color everywhere on the lake. 5. 1 contour linesTheres many other features but these stand out for my fresh water mapping needs….Like Chet said if BassCat doesnt carry these units one can always order and have dealer install at later date.Pass me another Dr. Pepper. Hi Tom,What did you do to get all of this on your PC. I would love to get it. I have the Navionics on my iPad but it is just alright at best. I would love to put something like this on my MacBook Pro.BrianBrianHAWG Hunter2013 BassCat Eyra2013 Mercury 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U
