Ill reserve judgement until I see what effect this has on product, quality and customer service. But when I start hearing about “synergies”, “efficiencies of scale”, etc., I will get very concerned. And I sure hope we do not see any chartreuse BassCat boats with checkered flag graphics!

Guys, all rick did here in my opinion was get rid of sleepless nights about where to borrow money thru the next crash or how to keep all of us happy and not let us down WHEN times get tough again. Thats it. I would imagine rick has new found energy to grow this business with the same formula.C.O.D. Jr. III

Think your right Ward. Now that shock has worn off a bit I do see how this can be a good move. Certainly better to sell now when Rick has options to pick and choose a partner then have to sell suddenly should health become an issue. We all know all to well things can happen out of no where. This business plan continues the brand and doesnt depend on any one person or small group of people. Its smart for the Pierces and us. Looking forward to a long association with the BCB family.

Ive read comments on all the social media. Ridiculous. He sold the company to another excellent company run by a strong individual. You really think somebodys gonna outlay all that cash and come in to change something thats been that successful? I dont. Looks to me on the outside looking in that two mom and pops have joined. Better for the both of them. Its not a platinum equity type buyer. These people are in the business to stay there.
