I have a 2014 Puma FTD and a BassCat cover with ratchets to tighten. How tight can you get them? My straps are so tight that they feel like they could break anytime but, going down the road at 70mph the cover lifts up in the middle on both sides far enough that I can see the colors above the rubrail. Anyone have these covers? Same issues? Or am I doing something wrong?

You must not be getting it tight enough and the strap must be below the rub rail.

Nevermind………I saw in the other post you have something other than Sunbrella. I do not know about that one as a travel cover. Ive never had.

I have the strapless Aqualon. With the support poles in place and the ratchets torqued down its tight. Something is amiss.

They work the same and tension as well as pole length and prefit location are critical.

It fits under the rubrail all the way around the boat perfect. I can try to tighten more, just afraid of breaking straps. I also use the support pole on the front deck. I hope the straps are tougher than I think they are.

They take a lot of tension and the ratchets my have to be oiled to work best. They have enough tension that the ratchets can bind.

Question to BCB: Does the correct length poles come with the Sunbrella Covers when purchased thru BC?
