Will you all be testing this prop out anytime soon on the SHOs? From what I have read it has Yamahas blessings. This is what I found: http://www.fishingworld.c…Read.php?ArtID=000029725″That performance includes very minimal bow rise during hole shot, and the lower the bow, the greater the forward visibility. (Forward visibility is crucial at blast off in tournament fishing.) At the same time, the FXP provides more overall lift. The result is excellent hole shot, speed and stable handling, even at high engine heights.”
To me swatt that is directed at the skeeter boat ride in general. They are good boats but if youve ever been in one over 70 and you are short like me all you can see is the nose. Real nose high to me.C.O.D. Jr. III
Ward, Similar to your Skeeter experience my comments are more hole shot related. The Eyra/SHO/T1 has noticeably more bow lift out of the hole. What I noticed and liked about the Fury vs the T1 Prop was lower bow lift. At least that was the case from my Eyra/SHO experience. If the FXP offers that plus more performance benefits that can only be a positive. Ive read early reports with 1-3 mph gains at WOT but Im a bit skeptical with those claims. Ive been down this path one to many times now to accept this at face value.
I figured holeshot was a nonissue with shoC.O.D. Jr. III
Never said there was an issue with the hole shot and there is none. The SHO is lightening quick out of the hole and I get on plane almost instantly with every prop Ive tried. However the T1 has more bow lift and you notice it but not as negative. What you notice is the Fury is flatter not faster. Per the press release from Turbo and their FXP:”That performance includes very minimal bow rise during hole shot, and the lower the bow, the greater the forward visibility. (Forward visibility is crucial at blast off in tournament fishing.) At the same time, the FXP provides more overall lift. The result is excellent hole shot, speed and stable handling, even at high engine heights.” This makes me wonder if the FXP will be similar to the Fury.
HI flyswatter,If all these attributes are true, it provides less bow lift during the hole shot but gives better lift than the Fury at WOT I myself really wouldnt care if it gave better speed. One would think its a safer and much more stable ride with more bow lift at WOT. Wakes would not try to alter your direction of travel at the most inoportune time. I hope it does as it says, amd if it gives better speed that would be awesome for you. Hopeully you can find one to try out on that rig of yours. Your Eyra and 250 SHO combo sounds like an awesome ride to me.BrianBrianHAWG Hunter2013 BassCat Eyra2013 Mercury 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U
Fly I do know there was some testing of that prop on the cats. Maybe Rick can give us some numbers but Chris with turbo told me he ran a Cat /sho combo over 82 with that prop. But I am gonna wait for jason to get one and try his
AS in most cases there is always a better mouse trap out there.

I do know there was some testing. I also know they detuned the sho on the Cat as to not make the other brands look so slow. But from what i was told the Cat was still faster. I didnt hear this from anyone at bcb but someone that was there.
