Thanks fishmagnet, I really wasnt wanting to spend any extra after the price of that battery!!
Take a volt meter and check. Check it unplugged then plugged in .Check all connections. Not saying battery not bad but I woud be hard pressed to think its a battery. I would check output of charger.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
As said above. Check with volt meter to determine which. Is it all batteries or just an isolated one. If just one, swap leads around.
There have been some instances in very recent boats of a charger issue. If its within a month of age please see your dealership soon. If its beyond that its still under warranty just not sure its a major issue. If its not working your covered either way. As Phil said it could be battery compatibility and swapping the leads can change that.Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on July 14th, 2015, 3:43 am, edited 2 times in total.
Ok, I was able to check the batteries with a volt meter and all 3 batteries are showing 12.50-12.75 with the battery charger unplugged, which would be a full charge I assume. When I plug in the battery charger there is no change on the volt meter with the batteries. So I assume I have a bad battery charger because the battery charger lights never show that the charge is full on two of the banks. Bank 1 will flash red forever until the charger is unplugged. Bank 2 will flash red sometimes and sometimes it will not show a light at all. Bank 3 is the only one that will show a green light showing fully charged. What would my next step be?Last edited by RazorHog on July 15th, 2015, 12:35 am, edited 1 time in total.
If ur charger is not putting out voltage very likely charger is bad. Are they three in line fuses? Be sure and check these if equipped with. Is bank three putting voltage out.? If so and other 2 are not charger is culprit.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
I checked the in line fuses and they are all good. Im not sure if bank three is putting out voltage or not. The battery shows the same voltage on all three batteries rather the charger is plugged in or not.
I believe I would get with the correct people to see about a warranty. Maybe even call nocco. See wat they advise. Sounds like a bad charger.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
You will have to discharge the batteries first to determine if the charger is working. Right now they are close to full so how did that happen if the charger were not working? Plug in the charger and verify voltage, discharge some and try recharging.
I have a 3 bank Noco unit , and if the batteries are near full charge the lights still come on steady red , and turn green shortly thereafter . — The blinking lights indicate a bad or incorrect connection . — Check for reversed leads at the batteries . — Check voltage at the T/M plug as well . ( assuming its a 36 volt unit , voltage should be 36 – 39 volts ) — If connections are all correct and tight and the batteries are at or near full voltage , I would suspect charger is faulty due to the blinking lights . — Good warranty coverage , so either way youll be taken care of . — Hoss
This is copied and pasted from a NOCO document. You need a multimeter, though. Before applying AC power to the charger, measure the battery with a digital volt meter and write the value down. Then plug the charger in making sure that within 5 seconds the charger is indicating that the charging process has begun . Wait 30 seconds and measure the battery again with the digital volt meter. The battery voltage should be higher and slowly moving up.
