Been some traffic on chargers and batteries. My 2 cents. I bought a used Cougar, it had a Stealth ( http//stealth1charging.com/download/Manual243622004.pdf) ONE on board charger and gauge installed. It was not installed per the Stealth directions. When I did this and followed the Stealth recommendations, I have had EXCELLENT luck with this. It monitors the cranking battery and once the cranking battery is charged, it channels the motor charging voltage to the trolling batteries. Almost always, even after 2 hours on the troll motor, about 5-10 minuites running time on the big motor, brings the trolling motor batteries back to 27 volts. If you do want to plug it in to 110VAC, the Stealth works the same way, tops up the crank battery and then brings the trolling batteries up. Again, the system was not wired per the Stealth manual and after I did that and follow the recommendations, I have no battery worries. Milton
