Are there testing methods available to determine the life left in a battery? reason I ask- last OI ,I had an Optima go out on trl mtr. I bought the 4 when my boat was bought in 8/ 05 and BCB installed ,none other have faltered so far- Is there any way to determine if the others are losing power other than waiting for one to go down- should I go ahead and replace the remaining ones?BAYOU BANDIT

Do a load test on them see if they perform up to snuff this will test whether or not they can hold up under a sustained load. Any mechanic or battery seller should be able to do this. I bought years ago, a small load tester for my garage $30.00 and it has proved invaluable over the years in diagnosing when it is time for a new battery.Irv

My 05 Batteries crapped out this year. Id say get some new ones, theve lived a good life!

Guess Im going to have to change my bank, everyone keeps getting DBasketmans statement. Optimas are a lot cheaper and have lasted 4 1/2 yrs- I think Ill stay with them,when your on a fixed income , you got to cut corners every chance you get. SAMBAYOU BANDIT
