Bay Cat self draining design

I have been fishing with water temps in the 40s. My Bay Cat is constantly taking in water…I am bilging on and off all day. I am guessing that the pig pong ball type devices used to let water flow out, but not in, is being compromised by the cold water..perhaps they are contracting enough where they are not efficient? Any suggestions????

There are some 1 1/8″ overflows on the livewells also that could be cracked on the joint. Though the Bay Cat has limited ares where the bilge could be leaking. Try closing off the scuppers (ball check) and leave some water in the bilge. See if any leaks out when you put it on the trailer. We suspect the scuppers, though this would confirm. Double check the overflows on the wells and the rest would be an aerator pump housing or stem for hoses. BCB
