I listed my Baycat for sale on the BCB boats 4 sale listings. If anyone on or near the coast or anywhere else for that matter, knows of someone interested, I sure would appreciate you sending them my way. I want to get back to a regular BassCat. I miss my Cougar.Last edited by billius on October 10th, 2009, 9:39 am, edited 1 time in total.

Good Evening Sir, I was wondering if you were still thinking of downsizing to a Pantera 2 or 4? If you look at the P4 id seriously steer you to price out with Sherm a 2010 Cougar advantage Elite, 225 pro xs, maybe a trailer grab pole and some other options you like, and when you compare it to the P4 pricing youll see what I mean, plus its the exact same boat in concept as your Cougar ftd, just different dash (advantage dash) unless Rick will upgrade you to the Elite dash, and the 2009/2010 Hull with more speed and stability…add maybe a 250 pro xs if the Hot Rod in you still wants to play and have a absolute Rocket….Of course sir if you have any color or layout options my cell is always on for questions, and if I hear of someone lookin for a Bay boat Ill let you know…..BrannonYour Signature …

I did talk to Sherm, he told me to consider the Cougar Advantage Elite for the same reason. Close to the cost of the PIV. The more I think about it, when the Baycat sells, I think I may seriously consider a year or two old Puma or Cougar.
I would love to have my boat with no carpet, stainless hardware etc for salt water and on a galvanized trailer. It would be a great rig for along the coast. But Im sure it comes down to the market for this type of rig. They would sell a few down here but it may not be worth building one. I love my BassCat but a boat I can put in salt water too makes sense for a lot of us that have to have 2 boats. Im sure me or Bill would be happy to field test one for them.

I agree with the above wholeheartedly. A boat like a Cougar or Puma rigged with no carpet, etc like you described, would suit me for sure. I think Stratos may have made a boat like that at one time. I dont know if they still do or not. Ive got a buddy who has an old Venture, he stripped all the carpet out and sprayed bedliner type material on the decks. What he didnt do was add any stainless stuff and things are rusting away really fast on his bassboat. He uses it on Mobile Bay and in some of the salt water flats down here. I doubt there is much market for one though.
Bullet makes a salt water bass boat as well with no carpet. Going from NC and fishing in DCs all the time to bas fishing in the cornfields with carpet on a boat took time to get use to lol
bill I thought for sure sherm was going to put you in a new jag…you know how us older guys are need that senior ride..IF ITS NOT A CAT ITS A DOG BASSCAT BOATS 2001 COUGAR 225 YAMAHA….www.dropshotdennys.com
