BigRed, the simplest fix is to regalvanize yours before it deteriorates. It would be a consuming process, and one you might want to put your boat in the dock for a while during. Though it is better than waiting till it breaks all the metal down. You can drop the axles, paint them and the springs, or replace the springs. Remove the fenders and parts, then redip the trailer. Though the Gator Hyde coating will not be there. If you redip, make sure they leave it in for several minutes and heat the metal on the pretreatment. Then leave it in when they dip it. The dippers want to cold dip them, as the weight is the price tag, and they make more for less minutes. Though the dip jobs suck! And galvanized sucks in the first place as a finish. If you have a pivot tongue, ask them for an opinion on that. Though most will just be a paint item. BCB
