Just ordered a 200 proxs w/1.75 gears. What prop would BCB put on this motor at the factory? What prop for low altitude operation. Plan on attending the OI and want the right Prop for optimum ops. Thinking Fury or Trophy. Mercury prop selection is a little confusing. 2005 Pantera Classic. Martin

Id go with a 25 Fury

Buddy of mine has 06 Classic w/200 efi 2.5 turning a 26 Fury. Does a great job-low 70s

26 Fury if you run light loads……..otherwise a 25 Fury

I run a 26 Fury but I run with a light load and in Northeast where it is cooler most of the time. Awesome hole shots and Im sure the 25 will do so too. Chris has more experience and done more experimenting then most with these hulls so 25 is likely the way to go. Of course, there is always the option of getting both…. Now Im starting to sounding like Chris.

Ive had the 25 Fury, 26 Fury, 25 Tempest Plus, 25 Trophy Plus, 24 Trophy Plus, and the 24 RakerII. on my PII 200 H.O. E-Tech. Stock I liked the 25 Fury for an all around all year prop. After testing I had the 25 Trophy Plus worked by John Janaky at DAH Propellers and it is by far and away the best all around performing prop Ive ever had. It isnt the fastest but the speed difference is so miniscule. The 26 Fury was the fastest but the hole shot wasnt as good as the 25 Fury. Just for hoots and nannies, I am in South Arkansas so weather changes, DAILY, but am running a 06 classic and usually run a fair load of gear. I had been having trouble hitting the Rev limiter and went to a 26 Fury, now in the dead of summer I am riding on 5400 at WOT and flat more hauling (a donkey)!!!! In late Sept, with cooler waters my RPMs bumped on up and she was screaming!!! I have also ran the 27 tempest, top end was real good, but not as good a ride as Fury. Oh yea, the majority of my runs consist of two “big ol boys” and their gear. Hope it helps. Try to find some around your club and test them out. But try different props on the same day under the same load, weather and etc….and keep you some notes on speed and RPM and holeshot, that way when you find a prop you can tweek your JPlate
