I wonder if MLF will keep with the 19′ boat with 200 ratings like they have been running for a while? Or will they go to 20-21 footers with 250s like BASS and FLW?
Feiderman and Crews Missle just don’t want to go slow.
Any news on Ike? Staying w/ Elites or going to MLF?
Maybe he’ll say on Ike Live tonight
John Crews just announced he is staying with the Elite Series
Chad Pipkens is also staying with the Elite Series

In Timmy Horton’s and Ott DeFoe’s videos they both said they will run their own boats with all their own sponsors in the BPT.

Staying with Elite series, but were they invited to the PBT series? And if one wasn’t invited to PBT, I’m assuming it wouldn’t take much of an announcement to say you’re sticking as an Elite. Unless I’m missing something.

Good point. Seth was invited but John and Chad were not….according to bassfan
Did yall see how Seth Fieder announced his decision on face book? He cut pasted everyones face from the elites into the scene from wolf on wall street when he says “I’m not going anywhere!!!” LOL its so funny
I’m not a big fan of change and the Elite Series is going to be vastly different without some of the personalities, but I hope most fans support all 3 platforms. At the end of the day the change will positively impact the industry and benefit all the anglers.
I marshaled at Oahe, it was obvious that many anglers were mad at BASS, I hoped it was due to everyone being worn out since it was close to the end of the season. That doesn’t seem to be the case. I like the 5 fish format a lot better than the every bass counts MLF, and I’m the tournament director for the Mt BASS Nation. I hope the anglers make a living there, and I understand the appeal to the new or casual angler of seeing a lot of catches. I hope this doesn’t have an adverse affect on the BASS Nation.
Updated the list back on page 2. Lots more announcements.
ek3313, Gerald Swindle gave a heartfelt announcement and expressed the same sentiments as far as supporting all the anglers with their decisions and supporting all three tours.
Really cool of Swindle and I’ve always enjoyed his sense of humor.
Saw your updates on page 2 – KVD and AMart too? This shakeup is even bigger than I thought it would be. All these big names leaving the Elite Series is certainly going to open the door for new anglers to compete on the big stage.
Thanks for the updates!
Wow, the list of those jumping from the Elites is longer then I thought it would be. But as long as BASS stays the course with their current changes I think they will ultimately be the big winner when this all settles out in 3-5 years. I don’t see MLF replicating their made for TV format success with the larger field. After a few years the field will be divided into those at the top making money, those in middle barely breaking even, and those at the bottom wondering “what about me? I thought this was all about every angler?”
A third tour will be good for fans and aspiring pro-anglers for it adds top level competition and should keep all tours striving for the best talent. My prediction is 1/3 of those who jumped from the elites will be trying to work their way back to one of the other tours within 5 years. And if the schedule allows, just as many will be trying to qualify for the BMC via the opens unless they have a strict non-compete clause in MLF. If there is a strict non-compete clause it would be a clear indication this MLF hype isn’t about advancing bass fishing, just about making money for those who ultimately own it.
