BCB, Differences between 94 and 95 PII

If I understand correctly the PII hull changed from 94-95. What are the differences, exactly? Ride, speed, etc? Also, anything different on layout, accessories, etc? Thanks

The hull, deck and console all changed from 94 to 95. The ride will be better on a 95 and performance will be a trade off. The 95 is a more up to date option.

Any more specifics on the changes? How did the deck change? The layout looks the same, at least to me. How about holeshot, any better on a 95?

Dont know alot about an 04 P II but i have an 05 P II with a 200 Merc. and have been very satified with it as far as fishability, storage, speed and durability. I just bought a cougar and can till you that my P II has a hole shot as good as my cougar with a 250. The main thing is the right set up as far as prop, pitch and plugs which alot of these guys can help you with. Alot that i have learned is from these pages and its trial and error with the plugs. Ask PhilAddison and oldtimer, they can teach you alot.

Thanks Iceman. I have a 94 PII and have been on this board since I bought it 7 years ago. I know all too well about playing with props, jackplates, blueprinting, etc!!! Anyway, I am looking at a 95 PII and wanting to know the differences or if anything is greatly different between the 2 hulls (94-95).

Some changes are subtle like the addition of a day use box in the floor plan, and box changes. There are several small changes that would be from memory. It has been a while on a question like this to give exact answers. Perhaps the shop itself can answer those more. The 95 model has the recess trolling motor pedal also, the deck heights are different and there are more characteristics that are different. BCB

Calling up to the factory and talk to Bobby or Scott. They can help you from there. “Shop” is the factory. I had a 97 PII…still had bench seat with storage underneath, “day use” box that you could store item in. CMC jackplate. BP 101 super dash. Twin 26 gal fuel tanks, pro aeration system with livewell pump in/out, recirculator and aerators. Recessed tm pedal basin. What is the day use box? The small box on the deck? If so, 94s have that box as well.

Yep, thats it, the small rectangular box on the front deck. I store jars of pork rind, bags of worms, reel lubricant and scent bottles in there.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
