For the new Caracal??? Another related question is what is up with the edge of the net and toolholder being rather sharp instead of having a soft or radius edge? Seems like the angle of the rod placement on the deck (tip section) will ride or rub on the edge of the machined net scabbard, possibly nicking the lines or wearing on a guide..???? Any thoughts? Also, any specific tools or recommended tools used in the design process us Caracal owners should look for???

They have a new cover plate received a few days ago and the 2016 piece is shipping on newer Caracal models. The cover plate requires over sizing the existing hole to allow a little more variety in the net. There will be a rubber cover that we dont know availability on that will go with it. Thus we were waiting on the boot cover to be available before posting the new part.

Is this something that can be replaced to existing Caracal owners with little or no cost?

There will be no charge for the upgrade and enough parts were ordered to handle that. We were waiting artival of the non sticky (no adhesive) boot covers that are a custom cut before releasing details and we dont know status of that.
