Any wood in your boat is encapsulated in fiberglass, and protected to a great extent in that it will shed water. Just dont allow water to stand in the boat, and remove the cover now and then and allow to dry thoroughly. Open the boxes when drying, and to speed the process you can vacuum excess water out of the carpet. D.
