BCb..Question about box storage in Jag

Guys…I was just wondering what size boxes fit in tackle organizers. The Plano 3770s I put in dont seem to fit very well. I really have to force them in and I can see/hear the divider stressing. We dont think the divider will crack if you are seeing what we think you are. The 3700 is the box we thought we were using in those. Though we are not very good with the other numbers as we use too many variations. The front pivot assembly on the Jaguar should have the same boxes the way it comes standard. You can add trays to the Jaguar assembly and tighten them up if you use the smaller, thinner Falcon boxes in crank or stick bait models. Sorry we dont remember the number. We looked at our boxes and there are no numbers left on ours so we tried. BCB

Im not talking about the folding box hangers…those are fine and I have made the necessary adjustments. I am talking about the tackle organizers below the folding rack. I have two (one on the bottom of each storage compartment). A standard 2 inch Plano box does not fit in the slots without forcing it and I feel like the plastic is going to crack. There is one slot for a thicker box and the rest are narrow. I think Plano makes a thinner box. We will have to do some research on that ourselves. We understand you were concerned with the ABS trays.

Man they had a busy day. Had a fly in group on a tour for colors, had a couple of folks in picking colors on another one, had a few casual visitors and we never got them to stop and measure or check. Though it is not your boats slotted boxes, we did get that out of purchasing. The boxes are all custom molded to a mold that BCB manufactured for the company. They are using the BCB mold and no other. BCB Admin.

I guess all I am looking for is whether or not the organizers are designed to take a standard 2 inch 3700 series box. If they are, then I definitely have a problem with mine, because a 2 inch box does not fit properly. I cant imagine they would be made for a thinner storage box…just wouldnt make sense.By the way, the boxes fit great in the swinging organizers.Please let me know when you find out.ThanksMikeMike Caponigro Cary, IL 2010 Jaguar/ Merc 250 Pro XS http://www.xtremek9.com

Mike, We ventured out and put some 3700 series Plano boxes in the Jaguar trays and they fit like we assumed they would. There is some lid flex in some as ours had a bit too much tackle in them. Those were a snug fit, though were not an issue. We also went and check some newer ones at NABITAC, which is a four state tackle wholesaler located in our industrial park. The new ones without tackle slipped right in there with no real slop. Just so you know they are 3700 series. BCB
