Tim, We are using the BF Goodrich at this time while we work through the Cooper situation and availability. We have run several other brands and we did OK with the Firestone series. The Goodyear we were not at impressed with. There is a tire made by Cooper called a stinger that is a private label item we are going to move to temporarily. You name it in a quality tire and you will be fine. BCB

OK, Ill ask this question again!What are the tire standards BCB recommends in a trailer tire?Im not not looking for a specific brand recommendation, just the sidewall and ply recommendations. (2-4-6 ply sidewall, AT, load rating, etc)Ill take it from there, but just would like to know the recommended specs to look for in any brand.!Thanks!._

I recently had a problem with the Cooper Cobras and decided to upgrade to a 6 ply tire at the urging of the Cooper Service Center. I do notice a big difference in the handling of the boat trailer at highway speeds. The stiffer sidewall seems to flex less and of course it means less sway in the wind and in heavy truck traffic. There are several 6 ply radial brands out there and most are competitively prices. I bought the Triangle Brand; dont know anything about them but so far so good. I had them balanced and they required a very small stick on weight on one time only. They have gotten some decent reviews on line. I have about a 1K miles on them and so far so good.

Triangle Tires are the base tire for BCB on the aluminum mod rim.

There is a serial number and information tag on the tongue of your trailer with embossed information on that label

I am not sure about the previous comment of being a base tire for BCB on the aluminum mod rim! Please explain BCB!
