Bentonville is a lot different than AZ area as you know. The cost of living should be significantly different though Arkansas is catching up as the tax rates and Amendment 73 changed that. There are plenty of options from small town living to urban or country life there. You will be close to Grand Lake and Table Rock, with Beaver Lake in the back yard. Schools are good and cultural lifestyles differ geographically within NW AR. Northwest Arkansas has the highest per capita number of millionaires in the USA. All thanks to many successful businesses including WMT. You probably would like it there and may even learn to like the hogs. About all you dont have there is professional sports.
Wife is from there. Wonderful town. Good fishing nearby. BassCat dealer in 10 miles. 1.5hrs from the home office in Mtn Home. What more you want?C.O.D. Jr. III
But you do get a minor league “double A” baseball team, NW Arkansas Naturals……. This information courtesy of an Arkansas Traveler fan…Texas League Champs! Go Travs!96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
dweller01 I have lived in North West AR. for 48 great years. (My entire Life) You will find we have Four Seasons, some you will like some you will not. Lots of fishing in the area Beaver, Table rock, Grand, all with in an hours drive. Bella Vista alone has seven lakes up to Seven hundred acres in size. There is a nice Club there also I happen to belong to it. Beaver has a lot going on as well. You will find the area to be clean and the people very friendly. We have Two A baseball, the Hogs, a Big Art Museum coming to the area in 2010 (The Waltons). The School systems are top notch, Public and Private. You will be able to live with the Hillbilly”s or the millionaires. Your house can be on 100 acres or sandwiched between Two others with Seven feet on either side. Average Temps. in the Summer will be 80s, in the winter 40s, but you will see some 100s and some single digits. Not in need of a job, but I always look at whats out there. That and as times get tougher, it seems Wal-Mart will continue to grow. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I may be in touch with some of you with more questions. Thanks again… JasonJason Desertdweller.com Get Your Bass in the Boat!
Give a shout if you still need more info or opinions. Have been here pretty much most of my 39 years. It is a great place to live and a great place to raise a family. Plus, pretty good fishing around here with Beaver lake 10 minutes away, Grand lake in OK about an hr away, Table Rock in MO close by, Bull Shoals and Norfolk a couple hours away to the east, and the Ark river close by in both OK and the Ft Smith and Little Rock areas. There are also several good bass clubs in the area and many different local and regional fishing tourney circuits. Plus, you are only a couple of hours away from the Basscat factory!!! The economy here is stronger than in most parts of the country. With several strong large fortune 500 companies here in addition to Wal Mart, there is stilla good solid job market, the price of living is much cheaper than most parts of the country, and there is a good balance of life between small town feel and also many of the luxuries of a a larger and growing area. Be glad to help with any questions or info you might still have. I know Ramyond Burns well at the Rogers/Lowell area chamber of commerce and I know he or someone on his staff would be as happy as could be to help hook you up with anything you might still be needing. Give a shout if anything I can help with. Doug Drummonds ] or 479-236-1984
