Guys,Im looking for input on the best rod for big crankbaits. I know I want the longest rod I can find, but Im also interested in a light rod so I can used it all day. I will pair it with a high capacity moderate speed reel. Suggestions?John

Dobyns 805 Champion This is what Ill use for a 10XD and a 6XD. Its 8 long.

I have a KVD rod from BassPro that I really like and use for square bills, and Tackle Warehouse has a great rod made by Powell that I use for larger crankbaits, both very nice and can allow you to throw a country mile. I love the Strike King square bills!!

JB Custom Rods. Look John up on the internet. Oh, and then Ask John Crews where he got his brand name for his baits and whos rods was he using when he won his only tournament.

I have both the Dobyns glass rod and the Denali 711″ cranking rod. The Denali is lighter and seems to connect better for me. I fish both with the Revo winch.

I use the Denali 7 11″ Rosewood Cranking Rod with a Lews 5.4:1 BB1.
