Best prop and initial setup for my 96 P2

First off, thank you for reading this. And thanks een more if you can help, I just purchased a 1996 p2 from a friend. The boat has a 1996 Merc 200 on it. He gave me trophy and tempest plus props. My question is… Which prop do you prefer and where should I start as far as engine hieght? The boat has a CMC jackplate on it. I am going to send the props out and get them set up, but I would like to know a good starting point as far as which prop and what hieght. Thanks in advance. Opinions from Bassca are really appreciated

Most ran either a 24-26 Trophy or a 25 Tempest. You could go to a Fury in 24 to test also.

I have a 98 PII with a 200 Mariner. I run a 25P Trophy Plus with all the PVS plugs out, engine height is around 3 1/2 below pad. Im very happy with the performance, great hole shot and top end. That is the only prop I have ever run, so I have nothing to compare it to. My hole shot can be a little slugish in the summer months, with the two people, live wells full and tournament load, but that is to be expected. Ive considered dropping down to a 24P Trophy Plus for the summer.
