so 24 or 25 mercury site in fury said 26 p…. what would a 26 pitch do to my p3? would it reduce my rpms. i have a tempest now and it really doesnt do it. so should i go up in pitch?

according to Mercury they dont make the Fury in anything smaller than 24″ pitch. 24/25/26 is all

I have the 2.5 L EFI on a 2001 Pantera III with a 25 p trophy plus with 2 plugs out. I usually get up on plane within about 7 seconds and ran 68 gps with 2 people at 5800 rpm last weekend. I would like to get a better hole shot but dont really want to sacrifice any on the top end. I understand the 2.5 L is an anemic motor in the first place but really like the dependability of it. Just my 2 cents. i also have 2.5 i have a hard time getting on pad with livewells gas tanks and 2 people. i would like balence between speed and holeshot. and to be honest i want it all the speed plus the hole shot , i can afford the trophy but the fury is out of my range to just try to see if i like it, i can borrow 25p trophy. i ran a 25p tempest and helped a little til i filled up livewells and man i was embaresed to have my no-boater go on front deck to get on pad.

Drop down to a 23 or 24 Tempest. One of your running partners who fishes probably has one you can try without having to purchse one. You can remove the PVS plugs to relieve some exhaust. Also you can more down to a 24 Trophy. And if you were lucky, someone would have a Fury to swing as a tester also.

Once you own a Fury, you will not go back. That is an awesome prop! Ive ran most props on the market but am totally in love with the Fury. If you can find a 24p Fury to try, do it! what is the best prop outboard set up….i have 2.5L 200 e.f.i pantera 3… so what should i be running? i have a 24 p 3 blade and i have horrible hole shot. especially when there is two of us and all out gear. i would like the best of all worlds, hole shot, top end and gas mileage is there such a thing? any help would be greatly appriciated…….

Most are running a 25 or 26 Fury on a 250 Pro XS.
