took my jag out for the first time last week and found that my bilge and airator didnt work. hooked the bilge pumps directly up to batteryto verify the pumps work and they did. then i checked the bilge wires at the a-10 touchpad and it was getting power so i figured it was the switches in the touchpad, ordered a new a-10 got it today and when i installed it the new one did the exact same thing as the old one. thought this was pretty simple, guess i was wrong, any suggestions would be great thanks.

Sounds like it could probably be a ground problem, have you checked your ground with a meter to make sure your getting continuity to the neg post on the battery from the connection by the pumps, and did you make sure your getting 12v positive to the connections by the pumps?

Need to change your cartridges on your pumps…a10 was probably good…or check your terminal strip in the back for corrosion…

Just because the pumps work hot wired does not mean they are alright, they may be faulty and the system be working fine? We suggest you look at the voltage to see if there is voltage on a meter at the ends. Hard to say on a 1997 though we suspect someone replaced the dash to repair exactly what you still have and the dash was not the issue. Common in the experience we have on dash replacement. Be sure to check output voltage and grounds at the terminal block.

Spray down terminal block with CRC/WD40 type spray, then loosen and retighten terminal screws for better contact, imho. Then go from there.

Took me a while to get to my problem i got real busy. Thanks for all the replies,still trying to track down the problem and was wondering if bcb had a woring diagram. For the a-10 connector

A10 or BP101 ? regardless,,, on the home page under parts/accessories and the manuals are there.
