Im having some issues with my Bilge pump. I have the A-10 touch pad installed in my 1995 Eyra. I did not install the touch pad so looking under the dash I was lost. What is going on is the Bilge button doesnt work and I want to know which wire that is coming from the back of the plug that is plugged into the touch pad is for the bilge pump. Also when I first got this boat the bilge would only work when I turned on the ACC button. Im thinking maybe a mess up in the wiring possibly. Im going to try and fix this issue during the winter months. Thanks for the help in advancedwil
It should be easily accessible right there in the bilge and they slip right out of the cartridge holder. The wires plug in on 6″ stub leads if the pump is a BCB replacement. BCB
Will, Before I would mess with the wiring I would make sure it is not the pump itself. Not sure which one you have but if you can swap the bilge pump out with one of the livewell pumps you will be able to determine that the pump is good. Mine just unlatch and twist out. There are 2 pumps in mine. The manual one goes on when the button is pushed once. When pushed again it goes into auto mode. My second pump (auto mode) is controlled by a float that when the water rises it turns the pump on and then drops when the water goes down and turns pump off. When in the auto mode even if you turn off the main electric switch your second bilge pump will still operate if the bildge takes on water. You can also do a search and there is a lot of information there.I have a 2006 and have had to replace at least one pump motor and the float mechanism.Hope this helpsJohn
Before doing anything (this is from experience on the lights through the A10), open the back hatch and you will see a panel that is carrying the grounds. Clean the ground on the battery and each one of the grounds on the junction strip. I know they look clean and are hard to get to, but take them loose, use a wire brush, clean them and retighten. Then if it still doesnt work, check the pump as mentioned above.JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

I would also add that you should remove the positive wire from your cranking battery to reduce the possibility of accidentally shorting and causing sparks and other calamities. That way you can also clean the positive terminals and check your “jumper” for a tight connection too. Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!
Thanks for the help guys! I will do all of the above and check back when I get done. Thanks againwil
If you have a multimeter, you can check for voltage coming to the bilge pump wiring without having to disconnect other pumps.
We think it could be a touch pad assembly, though suggest you assume that last. With all the thousands of those we have out surely one will fail occasionally. BCB
I had the same issue 5 months after installing my a10. with the old digital BP-101 it would give and error and it was a bad pump. with the new a10 it doesnt say and i actually had both bilge pumps go bad, when i removed both bilge pumps on the impeller was black debris (oil+mud =sludge), had replacements from BCB with connectors and after hitting the bilge area with a mild de-greaser it was a 10 minute job to swap out both bilge pumps!
