Bilge tranducer

So my question anyone every replaced theirs? My question is a simple one. Is it zip tied thru the gunnel? Or can I simply just get it loose in the back and pull it out? It is a lowerance. Dont really want to leave it.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

Is it not epoxied into place? Or are you talking about the transducer cable?2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200

Maybe the post is confusing. But yes Im talking about the actual cable that run through the gunnel to the dash. Meaning these are known to fail. I was hoping that bcb thought ahead on this and didnt zip tie it to the rest of the wires running through the gunnel. Mine need replacing. I wasnt wanting to leave the old cable. Getting the actual puck loose will be no problem. But if that cable is zipped. Thats a problem!2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

I had to replace one. Its not zip tied. Use the old one to pull the new one through.

I think it varies. The wiring on my puma was zipped tied and I had to cut off the ends to remove it.

Disconnect it under the dash and ask a buddy to tug the wire in the bilge while you two saw the wire back and forth. Youll know in a sec by resistance if its tied up.

Thought I would update on this matter just in case any other members have to replace there bilge transducer. So other than a few zip ties around the console and the immediate bilge area the transducer cable was zip tie free through the gunnels. I will add though making room to perform the task at hand was a royal pain in the buttocks. I wanted the cable ran just as it was from the factory( I could have changed this and made the job less aggravating) but I am very picky and wanted “factory “. I will add anyone that performs a factory transducer be prepared to be somewhat of a contortionist and to be very sore. I will add the remote temp cable for me was most aggravating. Removing the rubber boot at the motor rigging hose to access the ” snake wrap” that the temp cable ran through. Oh well job is complete and most definitely hope not to perform this tack again for awhile.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
